In 2001 we started a process of parish renewal in our parish, called RENEW. That program ended after a three year period and continued under the title "Small Christian Community.” Many of the groups have changed members, facilitators and reflection material. But the fruit of these groups of parishioners is an increase in faith, a stronger Catholic identity, and knowledge of the church and its mission.
The following is a witness statement from one of the small groups: “When we gather we share ideas, friendship, and deepen our knowledge of God. The people in our group give us a feeling of not being alone in our faith and a feeling of freedom to express ideas, and concerns about future church.”
