
The sacraments of Initiation – Baptism, Confirmation & Eucharist (Communion) – are the Church’s way of recognizing a person’s intention of living the Christian experience. These sacraments, along with the Sacrament of Reconciliation, are visible signs of faith. Through them we are able to experience a profound sense of God’s grace in our lives. In order to truly experience this sense of God’s presence within, we need to ready ourselves. Therefore, St. Margaret’s Church will implement the following policy for sacramental preparation:
Parents of children to be baptized should be registered and participating members of the Parish Community. Expectant parents are asked to attend a group session on the Sacrament of Baptism to insure their understanding of the sacrament, the parental commitment it entails, and to prepare them for its celebration.
